The Albums - A chapter about power, heard properly

A record about clarity, precision and self-definition. The Blueprint is not just a statement of arrival. It is a study in authorship. Confident, stripped back and exacting, it laid out a new standard for what ambition could sound like.

The Blueprint
good kid, m.A.A.d city

A record shaped by environment, memory and pressure. Kendrick Lamar’s breakthrough album documents becoming in real time, tracing how identity forms under the weight of city life, expectation and survival.

Heavy Is The Crown is the next chapter of The Listening Room.

If previous editions explored intimacy and movement, this one turns to responsibility. Not power as performance, but power as weight. The pressure of becoming. The cost of building something that lasts.

Jay-Z’s The Blueprint and Kendrick Lamar’s good kid, m.A.A.d city sit in conversation here not because they sound the same, but because they speak to one another. One lays out the architecture of ambition. The other traces what it means to grow inside that inheritance.

This is not a rap night.
It is a listening-first experience shaped around narrative, sequencing and authorship.

The evening, gently explained

These are entirely optional and designed to be shared slowly, in conversation with the music rather than as a focal point.

Soft Power Signature Cocktail

A bespoke cocktail created exclusively for this Listening Room.

Designed around restraint and elegance rather than intensity, with the final serve revealed on the night by the venue’s mixologist.

Drinks can be added during checkout and enjoyed throughout the evening.

The bar will also remain open on the night.

Listening Room Wine

A curated bottle of white or red wine, chosen for balance, warmth, and ease.

Selected to complement long-form listening and the atmosphere of the room.
