Soft Power is a vinyl listening and live performance evening built around music that speaks quietly, but with weight.

This is not a club night.
It’s not a traditional gig.
It’s a room designed for listening.

Across the evening, we move through two landmark soul albums in full:

Angie Stone – Black Diamond
D'Angelo – Voodoo

Played intentionally, in a shared space, with time to sit with the music rather than rush through it. Alongside the vinyl listening, there will be a live performance held gently within the room. Rather than taking centre stage, it sits in dialogue with the music, offering a human moment that connects the albums to the space and the people in it. It’s intimate, unhurried, and shaped to deepen the listening rather than interrupt it, a shared pause that brings the room closer together.

What to expect

Soft Power is shaped around presence.

The room is calm, grounded and intimate.
Seating is available throughout the space, but this is not a fully seated or assigned experience. Guests are free to sit, stand, and move with the room as the music unfolds.

There is a live performance woven into the evening, acting as connective tissue rather than interruption.

No rush to perform your enjoyment.

This experience is part of The Listening Room series, a format created for people who want to hear music properly, together.

We ask guests to arrive open, unhurried, and respectful of the shared space.

The bar will be open throughout the evening.
